Judy Liu’s purpose is to help people live fully as their weird and wonderful selves. She is the author of Beyond Belonging, published by Penguin Random House, and her work involves helping leaders step beyond their implicit leadership models to unveil their own unique path. Her approach is artistic and creative, and she weaves this into her leadership workshops and coaching to help people access their unconscious minds.
She is the founder of The Outlier Mind, a leadership consultancy that helps leaders see themselves more clearly and be more intentional. She was the former Head of Learning at Hays and a Business Psychologist by training. She possess a unique ability to bridge the science-practice gap – simplifying complexed principles into easy, actionable steps, all while sprinkling it with fun!
In her previous role as Head of Learning, she started an in-house certified coaching function called The Mindset Lab. Bred from her belief that everyone needs a safe space to play, and it is through play that we remember our true north – our inner compass. She now helps organisations keen to replicate the same environment in-house. She also was the designer behind Sherpa, a global LVMH program for leaders wanting to take on the coaching posture but are not looking to become certified coaches.
Having grown up in Taiwan, Thailand, Australia and Singapore, in the canine world, she would be your free-spirited mongrel. A cross-cultural oddball with a knack for building relationships quickly. She is fluent in English and speaks colloquial Mandarin.
In the academia world, she completed her Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Law at Macquarie University, Sydney, and her Masters in Organisational Psychology in Birkbeck, University of London. She is an NLP Master Practitioner, ICF Certified Coach (PCC), and Gallup Global Strengths Coach.
Clients are drawn to her when they are looking to inject fresh energy into homogenous teams, spark new ideas, and allow creative curiosity to be the medium through which leaders come home to themselves.
